Shower Water Softener
Need immediate help with water softener!!!!?
I had worked on the small electrical motor and used pb blaster to fix the thing…..Now some how i have gotton the pb blaster in the water tank and it is floating on the surface. Will this contaminate my water supply and if so how can it be fixed??? PLEASE ONLY ANSWER IF YOU HAVE INPUT ON MY SITUATION. I am freakin out cause my family drinks and showers with tap water everyday!!
With the PB Blaster on the top of the brine in the brine tank, it should not pose an immediate health risk since the brine water is taken from the bottom of the tank to recharge the water softener.
That being said, you still want to get rid of the PB Blaster inside the tank. Use paper towels or cleaning rags to mop up as much of the contaminate as possible. If that doesn’t clean up your brine tank to your satisfaction, then turn off the water softener and completely drain your brine tank (use a small bucket or a sauce pan to bail out the tank). Once the tank has been drained, you can then wash the tank. Fill the tank with fresh salt or softener pellets and turn the water softener back on.
