bottled water from the store vs bottling water from your faucet?

is there any difference in the 2 as far as shelf life. I know the differences in types of water and filteration methods. I’m wondering if you use a good filtering system at home can you bottle and save water, safely, from your own tap.

the chlorine is strong enought to kill the bad stuff between the
plant and your house – and it’s still strong enough to kill
the good digestive flora that helps you take care of food, just
like antibiotics do when you take them
